Zones and Delivery Fees

The zone delivery fee is now automatically calculated during checkout based on the zip code entered for the shipping address. We offer delivery to Hillsborough County, Pinellas County, Pasco County, southern portions of Hernando County, and northern portions of Manatee County. Delivery fees start at $80.00 and increase depending on how far away the delivery destination is from our store.  Some zones require the purchase of a minimum number of pallets or yards. If the number of items in your cart has not reached the minimum for your zip code, only local pickup will be available.  If your zip code is outside our delivery area, only local pickup will appear no matter how many items you add to the cart.

Periods of heavy rain delay cutting of sod at the farms which decreases availability. We will post a red availability notice at the top of the website during periods of limited availability.

Weekend Delivery

In order to receive your sod delivery for the weekend, place your order by 4PM on Thursday during normal conditions. During periods of limited availability, follow instructions provided in the red limited availability notice at the top of the page.

Items Sold by The Yard

Items sold by the yard are delivered in large nylon bags.  A deposit of $35 will be added to your cart at checkout for each yard.  $30 of the deposit is refundable when the bag is returned to our store in good condition within 30 days of the purchase date.

Payments

At checkout, you will have a choice of using your credit card (only Visa & Mastercard accepted) or using PayPal.  Even if you do not have a PayPal account, or wish to create one, PayPal will securely process your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or Bank Card payment.

Sod Planted in Shady Areas

Even though St. Augustine sod is known to be more shade tolerant than other types, it still requires at least 4 to 5 hours of sunlight a day to survive.  For this reason, we do not warranty sod that is planted in shady areas.

Return Policy

Due to the fragile nature of sod grasses, all sales are final and there are no guarantees or refunds even if you follow all the care instructions on our website.  For any type of sod to survive, it requires a minimum of 4 to 5 hours of sunlight per day and must be sprayed to prevent fungus and pests such as webworms.

Damage Waiver

Due to the weight of our equipment and product upon delivery, damages may occur on driveways and sidewalks.  The driver will only follow the customer’s instructions. For customers picking up their own sod, we will not be responsible for any damage to your vehicle caused by loading or otherwise. By continuing with this purchase, you agree to release OB Sod Garden Center, Inc of any responsibility of such damages.
